A divine appointment

Well, I am still struggling with jet lag and slept about three hours last night but today I went to the beach with some friends. I had a lot of fun and got a bit of a sun burn on my shins. But im not blogging about my day at the beach (even though it was fun). I wanted to blog about what happened on the way home.
We took the toll road to get to Corona Del Mar, and planned on taking the toll road home too. We then realized we didn't have money to pay for the toll road and figured we would just catch the 5 or something and get home that way. I think we all got distracted in our conversations and we missed the freeway we were supposed to take and ended up on the toll road. We were able to get off before the toll to get some cash and quickly got back on. When we drove up to the first toll booth, I looked over to my right and noticed a young college girl outside of her car (while in the toll booth line) searching through her car seats looking for change. I hesitated, but after a minute (and some discussion with others in the car) decided to ask if they needed some money. Turns out they did, they were lost and from out of state. They were trying to get to Loma Linda, which was a bit further than we were going. I offered her some money, which she gratefully took and chad asked if they had enough for the next booth. They didn't so he offered to have them follow us to the next booth where we would pay for them. When we got to the next booth, I got out (which was kinda scary because it was a freeway!!) and gave them money, directions and most importantly the most detailed gospel tract I had in my purse. They were beyond thankful for our help and I hope they made it to their destination. More than that I hope they were impacted by our gestures and read the gospel tract. Please pray for those two young girls and their salvation! Pray that others would come and sow seeds in their life.

  1. small gesture's can sometimes be very meaningful. Hopefully they repent and put their faith in Christ (if they haven't already done so)!
