Gauze

So I had my dental procedure today. I was terrified that I would be in agony and crying like my last dental visit in September. Well I asked my Creator for a quick and painless visit where all i felt were the shots.  Guess what.....i was in and out in less that fifteen minutes and the only pain I felt were the shots. I'm so glad I serve a Creator who takes my trivial and temporal pain seriously and answers my requests.

Now I'm biting on some gauze until the bleeding stops. This is always the most annoying part for me. Its just nasty. But oh well. Hope you had a nice Saturday that did not involve a dental visit like me!!

Teeth woes

So....yesterday I started noticing my tooth hurting and I instantly thought "Oh no....not this again." I had a really bad tooth ache last September and went to a random dentist open on Saturday to get rid of the pain. Well one botched dental visit later and I'm now missing that tooth. So now I have this new tooth ache and I instantly thought back to that horrible dental experience were I was in tears in the dental chair because of the pain. I was scared to go into my actual dentist but I knew that I should ASAP so the pain can subside.  Well they got me in quick today at ten, took some x-rays and told me that the dentist who had taken out my tooth left large portions of roots in my gums and they are infected which is causing my gums to be super sensitive and my teeth to hurt. So now I get to go in to the dentist tomorrow to have oral surgery to have the roots removed. I am NOT looking forward to it. I am so scared the pain will be like the last time I went. Then they told me I would need a bridge to cover the open spot where my tooth was because the tooth on the bottom of my mouth is growing upwards to fill in the gap from my missing top tooth. I am SO scared to go for this visit. Please pray for me. When all is said and done, this visit will cost more than Chad and I make in a month!! And I'm not counting the procedures chad just had done which also cost more than we make in a month! Sigh.....what is going on?? I'm not that old why are my teeth so crazy. Chad and I are so in debt right now, I told him we need to cut corners. This is like when we lost our jobs a few  years back.....we cut corners everywhere.....so we need to do that again. Pray for a Miracle.  Thanks!

Overwhelmed

My facebook update says "When it rains, it pours." Alot has been going on in my life recently. It feels like my family is falling apart due to various ailments and the like. One relative recently had a heart attack, stints put in, body parts amputated, another got stints as well. Chad and I keep being bombarded by things, it seems like a week does not go by that something big is not happening.

I have so much to do to finish my teaching credential/masters degree. I can't pass the CSET and i feel so stupid because its a test on my favorite topic...History. I have to student teach still (which i am really not looking forward to) and i have to finish Four TPA's. Ugg...I did not know what I was getting myself into when i signed up to become a teacher. I want to be done already. Im tired of school.

I am overwhelmed.

Quote from a movie "I heard you can be overwhelmed, but can you be under-whelmed?.....I think you can in Europe" haha

O Death

"O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"

This has been going through my head alot lately. My father-in -law passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday evening. This came to mind and I have to say, as my mother in law said "it still stings" but not as bad because we all know where he is. It still stinks. I dont like the feeling of losing somebody you care about. This time it is different. When my uncle passed it was shocking and I felt like I had been sucker punched and I was always waiting for him to jump out and suprise me saying it was a joke (morbid i know). But with my father in law I know its real, final and sad. I don't feel as if have been sucker punched though. Im so glad for answered prayers and the chance to say goodbye. I don't like death. I hope this is not a regular thing for me. The service is next week, it will be a hard week for the family. Please pray for us.

Song

This song is me right now. I wanted to share it with you. You can watch it here.

This song is by Jeremy Camp:

I have seen the many faces,
I fear in the pain.
I have watched the tears fall plenty,
From heart ache and strength.
So if life's journey, Has you weary and afraid.

There's rest in the shadow of his wings
I have walked through the valleys,
The mountains and plains.
I have held the hand of freedom
It washes all my stains.
If you feel the weight of many trials,
And burdens from this world.
There's freedom in the shelter of the Lord.

[Chorus:]

I have seen,
The healing hand of God,
Reaching out and mending broken hearts.
Taste and see the fullness of His peace,
And hold on to what's being held out.
The healing hand of God.

I have touched the scars upon His hands,
To see if they were real.
He has walked the road before me,
He knows just how I feel.
When you feel there is not anyone,
Who understands your pain,
Just remember all of Jesus' suffering.
[Chorus]
Cast all your cares on Him,
For He cares for you.
He's near to the broken and confused.
By His stripes,
Our spirit is renewed.
So enter in the joy prepared for you.

For some reason I can identify major times in my life by certian songs. When my uncle Jim passed it was a song by Phil Wickham (he is amazing) and now with Bob its this song and another......called "Closer to Love". As soon as either song is on the radio im in tears. This is hard. Watching Chad's dad battle cancer is so hard for me because I cant do a thing to help him. Seeing this strong man slowly lose his strength. Its so sad. I think i was in shock for a long time and it just hit me last week. The finality of all this. I keep crying at random times (usually bad ones). Today on my way to work I just started bawling in my car, people were looking at me and I had to go into work with my make-up messed up. Ahhh I hate this. I asked chad "why cant we go back to being kids when there were no problems and everybody was ok?" Do you ever wish this? Chad and I have been through alot in our five years of marriage.....things I think have really taxed us. I know people say that we will be stronger but im having a hard time with it. Pray for me.
